Twin Kawasaki Streamliner on JBA Dyno
Posted by btucker on August 24th, 2010
Just before departing for Bonneville, Kent and Randy brought in their 300-mph streamliner in to JBA for dyno tuning/testing. The streamliner is powered by two turbocharged ZX11 Kawasaki motorcycle engines. With approx 30-psi boost, the streamliner laid down just over 600 hp at the rear wheels. We strapped it down on one side of our Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno and did second gear runs to keep the rear wheel speed within reason. Tom Habrzyk handled the tuning using two laptops running Accel DFI. You can see from the pictures that the streamliner had most of its outer skin off to provide access.
