2010 Mustangs by the Bay

The Mustang Club of San Diego hosted the Mustangs by the Bay car show October 3rd, 2010. For the 7th time, the show was held at Embarcadero Marina Park North next to Seaport Village. Over 200 Mustangs lined up on the grass providing a wonderful contrast with the harbor, the Coronado bridge, boats in the marina and the San Diego skyline. Boy Scout Troop 11 provided refreshments while DJ Jim Ackley supplied the tunes. JBA hosted a booth including parts displays, a 430-hp JBA-built SBF engine, an “in-progress” customer car and J. Bittle’s 1968 Trans Am Mustang. From time to time, J would crank up the tunnel-port 302 just to wake up the neighborhood. JBA team members Mike and David both won trophies for their Mustangs and a good time was had by all!  -bt

Classic Chevys of San Diego

Embarcadero Marine Park North has got to be one of the best locations in the world for a car show. Unbelievable scenery, perfect climate. Classic Chevys of San Diego presented their Picnic by the Bay show on Sunday, August 29, 2010 and it didn’t disappoint. Lots of cool Chevys and quite of few Fords and Mopars too cause the show is open to 1972 and older American-made vehicles.  Nice to see a variety of JBA-customer vehicles spread throughout the show too.  And it was all for a good cause with proceeds benefiting the San Diego Hospice—a super worthy group as anyone who has dealt with them knows.
